Why you'll love it

Matcha that doesn't taste like hay.

The first harvest is sweeter and softer than anything on a supermarket shelf. You taste it on the first sip.

  • Sweet, not bitter

Young leaves from the first spring harvest. Naturally sweet, deep umami, no bitter aftertaste.

  • A gentle lift

Caffeine like an espresso, but thanks to the tea's L-theanine many people find it calmer and longer-lasting.

  • The perfect latte

Creamy enough to hold its own against oat milk. Iced or warm, the way we make it at the BERT bar.

  • 90 seconds

Sift, water, whisk. Done before the coffee would have finished dripping.

Iced matcha latte

Like the café. Just at your place.

Three steps, one glass, no barista needed.

  1. 01 · 3 g

    Sift

Matcha through a fine sieve into the glass. No lumps, finer foam.

  2. 02 · 40 ml · 70 °C

    Whisk

Add warm water and whisk in W-strokes with the chasen until foamy.

  3. 03 · 200 ml

    Pour

Pour over ice and cold milk. Oat works best.

Prefer it warm? Matcha in the glass first, then warm milk.

Questions

Short, honest answers.

Still unsure? Write to us, we usually reply within one business day.

About 15 at 2 g per bowl, about 8 at a strong 4 g. Most people use 3 g for a latte.
Unopened: cool, dry and dark, best before the date on the bottom. Once opened, reseal, keep it in the fridge and use it within a month – that keeps it vivid green and fresh.
Matcha contains caffeine, roughly comparable to an espresso per bowl. Because of the L-theanine in tea, many find the effect calmer and longer-lasting.
We ship Monday to Friday from Vienna with Austrian Post. Delivery usually takes 1–3 business days. Pickup orders are typically ready the same day.
Yes. Choose 1010 (Fleischmarkt 20) or 1070 (Stiftgasse 19) in the cart. You'll get an email as soon as the pouch is ready. Just mention your order name.
Ceremonial grade is milled from the youngest leaves of the first harvest and is sweet and smooth enough to drink straight with water. Culinary grade is stronger and more bitter, meant for baking or smoothies. Ours is ceremonial grade – which is why it's so smooth in a latte too.
Nothing but 100 % green tea powder (matcha) from Kagoshima, Japan. No additives, no sugar, no flavourings.
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Unopened pouches can be returned without fuss. If anything is wrong, just write to us – we'll sort it out.
Whisk 3 g of matcha with about 40 ml of water (1 : 13, 63–70 °C) until foamy. Cold: pour over cold milk and ice. Warm: matcha in the cup first, then add the warm milk.
